President Sadyr Japarov has signed Kyrgyzstan’s first-ever Digital Code, which will serve as the legal foundation for the country’s digital economy. The document systematizes regulations in the areas of digital services, personal data protection, artificial intelligence, and telecommunications, making it easier for businesses to operate while strengthening the protection of citizens’ rights in the digital space.
The development of the Code was made possible with the support of the World Bank under the Digital CASA project. Its adoption marks a step toward building a transparent and secure digital environment that will enhance trust in technology and increase Kyrgyzstan’s investment attractiveness.
