On July 31, 2018, a press conference was held at the Kabar news agency announcing the Digital Business Transformation initiative. The founders of the initiative are the largest representatives of domestic business associations and expert community: High-Tech Park of the Kyrgyz Republic, Association of Communication Operators of the Kyrgyz Republic, Association of Software and Services Developers, Association of Greenhouses of the Kyrgyz Republic, National Business Club, Association of Markets, Trade and Service Enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Public Foundation Civil Initiative of Internet Policy.
The aim of the initiative is to unite the joint efforts of partner organizations to create multilateral cooperation for the digital transformation of domestic business and participation in global production processes.
The implementation of the Initiative’s goal will be a broad social movement in support of digital reforms, providing access to knowledge, technology and digital skills in entrepreneurship.
The structural disadvantages of digital transformations, the lack of digital skills among entrepreneurs, the digital development gap between the regions limit the possibilities of domestic business. The initiative will help and improve the competitiveness of domestic business, expand sales markets, improve the promotion of goods and services through the introduction of innovative solutions in traditional business areas.
“We are in favor of speeding up the digital transformation of the economy“ from below ”, supporting the government’s efforts in digitalization,” said the founders of the Initiative.
Also, the Initiative is open for all interested parties to join – domestic businessmen, scientists, youth associations, students, experts to pool resources in building a digital future for the development of entrepreneurship, economic growth and improving the quality of life.
