On December 14, 2018, Public Foundation Civic Initiative of Internet Policy held a training course on the issues of forensics (computer forensics), digital evidence fixing, cybercrime investigations.
The international experts from Kazakhstan who have vast practical experience in the field of information systems protection, computer incidents investigations, technical expertise in investigating crimes in the field of information technologies were invited as lecturers: Vitaly Kazantsev, legal expert, author of more than 30 scientific and practical articles and manuals, a graduate of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Jan Gromik, a specialist in computer security, computer forensics, conducts technical examinations for government agencies, takes part in incident response.
The training was organized for lawyers and technical specialists of state law enforcement agencies – the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Committee for National Security, as well as for the management and teaching staff of the Kyrgyz State Law Academy.
