On November 5-6, 2018, a round table on the theme “Personal data: international approaches to regulation” will be held in Bishkek.
The main goal of this event is to find the best approaches to legal regulation of personal data processing, discussing with representatives of government bodies, civil rights protection sector and business community responsibility for violations of work with personal data, taking into account the experience of other states.
Within the framework of the Round Table, it is planned to discuss issues related to the grounds for processing personal data, forms and methods for obtaining consent and notifying personal data subjects in information interaction, establishing standards for liability for violations of personal data processing rules, review international practice in the field of personal data protection.
At the above event, experts from Georgia and the Russian Federation are expected to speak, who will present international approaches to the protection of personal data.
The event is organized by the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic in collaboration with Public Foundation Civic Initiative Internet Policy, supported by the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek and the United Nations Development Program in the Kyrgyz Republic.
