On February 20-21, 2019, experts of the Public Foundation “Civil Initiative on Internet Policy” conducted a training on the protection of personal data for employees of the Soros Foundation Kyrgyzstan.

The two-day training included: the history of the formation and development of the European law for the protection of personal data – GDPR, the importance of confidentiality of citizens’ identification data, the basic principles of processing personal data and measures to protect against leakage of personal information.

Also, IT experts from PF “CIIP” spoke about technical measures to protect against leakage of personal information and, together with the Foundation staff, conducted an interactive: identification and qualification of the threat model.

The Public Foundation “CIIP” is pleased to see a positive dynamic in the awareness and taking measures to protect personal data in the society of the Kyrgyz Republic, and thanks the Soros Kyrgyzstan Foundation for its trust in the expert potential of the “CIIP” PF.
