The Ministry of Culture, Information and tourism of Kyrgyzstan has declared intentions to reform the state regional mass media.
Sharing with plans, the head of the office Sultan Zhumagulov said that regional media centers will be established on the basis of state regional television and radio companies , which will provide a complex of information services.
The main goal of the reform is optimization of financing from the State Treasury 34 district and 12 regional newspapers and 6 regional TV channels. Zhumagulov stressed: “We are witnessing a change in the modern media, where traditional print media should find a new format for survival in market conditions.”
Regional media Centers will develop several information channels: television, radio, newspaper, news website, press center, Media School (training center).
