Assessment of readiness to use open data in the Kyrgyz Republic

During 2014-2015, there was a group of international and local experts who conducted a comprehensive assessment of the Kyrgyz Republic’s readiness to introduce open data.

Assessing the readiness of Kyrgyzstan to introduce open data implies a clear vision and specific recommendations for government agencies, business leaders, public and donor communities. Aigul Kurmanova, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, noted that “for her personally, the main recommendation proposed for the successful development of data economy in Kyrgyzstan was the idea of ​​strengthening the partnership of state bodies with business and civil societies. Each side will benefit from this interaction and be able to unleash the full potential of open data. ”
