On 21-22 June 2018, the third Central Asian Internet Governance Forum, CAIGF, will be held in Astana.<\/p>\n
CAIGF has already established itself as a productive platform for discussing Internet governance policy issues, which annually brings together more than 200 participants from Central Asia, the CIS and Europe \u2014 experts in the field of Internet governance, representatives of ministries, communication agencies, law enforcement agencies, as well as representatives of international organizations and commercial companies, research centers.<\/p>\n
This year the main theme of the forum will be the expansion of the participation of Central Asian countries in shaping the global digital economy. The forum will discuss cyber security and freedom to regulate the Internet, the benefits and risks of digital transformation, the development of the DNS industry and the expansion of access to the Internet, global and national approaches to managing the Internet.<\/p>\n
The Forum was organized by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with the Public Foundation \u201cLegal Media Center\u201d, the Cyber \u200b\u200bAttack Analysis and Investigation Center (CAAIC) and the Public Foundation \u201cInternet Initiatives for Citizens\u201d with the support of ICANN, Internet Society, Facebook, Soros Foundation-Kazakhstan and other partners.<\/p>\n
