October 12, 2012 in Bishkek, in the building of the State Intellectual Property and Innovation of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzpatent), a round table on “Mechanisms of protection of intellectual property on the Internet: Issues and Trends”, which will be attended by representatives of Internet resources operators, companies in the software and IT-services and others.<\/p>\n
The main topic for discussion will be the legal regulation of intellectual property in the Internet space in Kyrgyzstan. The event aims to identify the problems and mechanisms for resolving disputes between owners of copyright in works distributed on the Internet, and Internet resources.<\/p>\n
The event will feature presentations on the theme “free Creative Commons licenses as a way to regulate copyright in the Internet” and “Mechanisms for resolving disputes between trademarks and domain names.”<\/p>\n
The event is part of the implementation of projects under the National Development Strategy of Intellectual Property and Innovation in the Kyrgyz Republic.<\/p>\n
The roundtable was organized with the assistance of Kyrgyzpatent Public Fund “Civil Initsivativa Internet Policy” Law Company “ARTE” and public association \u00abBusiness Intellect Group\u00bb.<\/p>\n
